Blurb: Could you survive on your own, in the
wild, with everyone out the make sure you don't
live to see the morning?
In the ruins of a place once known as North
America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by
twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps
the districts in line by forcing them all to send on boy and one girl
between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the
annual Hunger games, a fight to the death on live TV.
Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother
and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps
forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has
been close to death before- and survival, for her, is second nature.
Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender.
If she is to win, she will have to start making choices that will
weight survival against humanity and life against love
Thoughts: Damn that was amazing. I honest was blown away by
it. I read this back in, oh 2011?And wow do I regret not reading
it earlier. At the same time I don't think I was ready for
something like this book back then honestly. Um just, wow. Blown.
Away. Seriously. Loved it!
Katniss is such a strong character. A classic heroine. Strong willed
and determined, it's kinda refreshing to read such a powerful girl!
Her bravery and courage is unremarkable. I'm an only child so I
can't say I know the feeling of protecting my younger siblings. But
Katniss sure did. It makes you kinda think twice on picking on
your younger siblings... Kinda... No? Okay maybe not then....
Peeta Mellark. Can I marry him? He was just as courageous as
Katniss. Some people say not as, considering he did
*****
*** SPOILER ALERT
Team up with the careers. Kinda low. But actually. He was brave.
He was protecting Katniss in a secretively way. Keeping her safe
by the help of Haymitch. He was always warm and kind, I can
honestly drool over him all day.
And here is Haymitch. Well he was... an interesting character?
Haha no. Actually he was brilliant. Haymitch is also a victor of
the Games. Clever and actually smart under all the drunkenness
and sarcasm, Haymitch is actually very very wise when it comes
to the games. At the beginning I will say I was worried he was
going to screw them p, but he really warmed up to me in the end.
Finally. Gale Hawthorne and Effie Trinket. I know what you're
thinking. Weird parring of a paragraph. Okay tbh, I'm just too
tired to write more. Gale is two years older then Katniss and her
best friend. Considered a good looking boy, I liked him. Not as
much as Peeta. He never could compare to Peeta in my opinion.
But Gale is a loyal, trust worthy friend who anyone would be
lucky to have if you lived in District twelve. Effie. Um.... interesting
fashion. Well I guess fashion, I'll admit I've seen crazier things
on OUR modern day fashion run ways. Effie is the quirky, lets say
escort to the Capitol. She's see many losses from the Games as
she's worked with with District twelve for a while and has high
hopes for Katniss and Peeta.
Oh my gosh. I forgot Cinna! Cinna is Katniss' personal stylist.
Warm and kind, Cinna has the appeal that he could have been
Katniss' second father. Good natured Cinna want sKatniss to shine
brightly and sees great potential in her. He's the only one who
really shows humanity. I loved him. Hands down
Here's why I didn't give it 5 stars.
I enjoyed the book. I really did. Only thing that ticked me. Was...

Tracker Jacker Scene. Seriously. Didn't work for me. I know they
really wanted to kill her. But honestly.... Who's dumb enough to
say "Hey maybe I'll waste and shoot arrows at her! That'd get her
down." Yeah no it didn't. You just wasted a fantastic weapon.
There are probably a few other things I could critique, but I read
this awhile ago so it's harder for me to remember.
Other than that., wow well done.
P.S. I would definitely wait to see the movie after reading the
book. Personally so you always know what's going on. (Fantastic
movie BTW)

Blurb: Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen
has won the annual Hunger games with fellow district tribute.
Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the
Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy.
After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a
life of safety and plenty. But there are rumours of a rebellion
among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are
the face of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants
revenge.
Thoughts: HOT DAAAAAMMN
****Let me regain my thoughts
Peeta, then Katniss, then Haymitch. Effie....
MIND. EQUALS. BLOWN
In this exciting squeal to Suzanne Collins masterpiece "The Hunger
Games", Katniss Everdeen is in an even bigger risk from now
surviving the Legendary Games. Now she is a threat to the Capitol.
Katniss and Peeta has given the people the spark of hope. Hope,
to rebel, to survive. To live. Action packed with a sprinkle of
romance. This book was my favourite out of all the books. Hands
down.
Katniss has just won the Games with Peeta. YAY they're safe....
NOT.
The Capitol is angry Katniss defied them, and want revenge. So
what do they do? Well the put them right back where they were.
In the Games. To their horror, because it's the Quarter Quell. The
75th anniversary of the Games, the Capitol puts 2 from each
district, a female and male WINNER. Back into the Games.
Katniss and either Peeta or Haymitch.
D. R. A. M. A!
And that's not all of it. For there are rumours of the rebellion.
That something is just not right. Because of Katniss and Peeta.
I love this book seriously. This was my favourite out of the series
by far. We get introduced to so many new characters. BeeTee,
Wiress, FINNICK ODAIR
Oh. my. lord.
New favourite hunnnkkk!
This is honestly a great squeal to this book. And from the beautiful
A PAIN IN THE BUTT. Cliffhanger. I guess I had no choice
but to continue reeding. Shame right ;D

Blurb: Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen
has survived the Hunger Games twice.
But now that she's made it out of the
bloody arena alive, she's still not safe.
The Capitol is angry. The Captiol wants
revenge. Who do they think should pay
for the unrest. Katniss, her family, friends
and entire District 12.
Thoughts: Yea. Wow. Um, I can't really think of a happier word
for it. This book is the final instalment of the amazing Hunger
Games. And it totally disappointed me. Like seriously bummed
me out for like a month and a half. I read this book like two years
ago and it still depresses me.
Katniss is alive. How? I don't know. Some green miracle. But she's
definitely not safe. Hiding away from the Capitol, but the thing is.
The Capitol has Peeta.
This book is the finale of the stupid (in my opinion) love triangle.
I've always hated love triangles. And in my opinion, Peeta was
always the one.
OK, the beginning of the book wasn't....... Bad. So to say. But from
the middle and on. Total bummer. There were so many loose ends
at the ending and epilogue and I didn't find it at all satisfactory.
Like. At. All.
There was 100% more violence in this book, which by the end, I
didn't find necessary. Too many killings, too much violence. Just a
disappointing ending. It was way to rushed. Like Suzanne just
wanted to get it all over.
Over all.
Disappointed Suzanne. Disappointed.
